Public comment open from January 21 through March 19

The winter 2025 public comment cycle opened January 21 and closes March 19. The Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) is offering 9 items for review, including 6 proposals, 1 request for feedback and 2 committee updates.
Comments and replies will be published on the OPTN website to promote transparency and trust in the national transplant system.
We encourage patients, transplant candidates and recipients, caregivers, living donors, donor families, and donation and transplant professionals to learn more about the items and provide their valuable feedback to help shape U.S. organ transplant policy. Feedback will be accepted until 11:59pm EST on March 19, 2025.

- Barriers Related to the Evaluation and Follow-Up of International Living Donors
- Clarify Requirements for Reporting a Potential Disease Transmission
- Escalation of Status for Time on Left Ventricular Assist Device
- Updates to National Liver Review Board Guidance (NLRB) & Further Alignment with Liver Imaging Reporting and Data Systems (LI-RADS)
- Modify Lung Donor Data Collection
- Monitor Ongoing eGFR Modification Policy Requirements
