New Associate Regional Councillor elected for 2025

Today, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced the election of Dean Kim, MD as the new Region 10 Associate Councillor. The previously elected Associate Region 10 Councillor, Austin Schenk, MD, PhD, FACS, assumed the role of Region 10 Councillor because the current Region 10 Councillor, John Magee, MD, assumed the role of President of the Board.

Voter turnout showed strong engagement from the OPTN community, with 70 percent of voting members in Region 10 participating in the regional election.

Dr. Kim will begin his term as Region 10 Associate Councillor immediately and serve on the OPTN Membership and Professional Standards Committee until June 30, 2027, before transitioning onto the OPTN Board of Directors as the Region 10 Councillor.
